The First steps!
The day of our wedding was perfect!  It was beautifully warm and sunny - the gardens were in full bloom and the ocean was a wonderful shade of blue/green...

We were married at 4 pm in the afternoon on April 9, 2001 - we were the last couple out of a grand total of SIX other couples to be married that day.  We decided that we wanted to get married later in the afternoon so we would have a chance to relax and get ready.

Our minister came to our room to meet us and let us know how the ceremony was going to proceed.  He was absolutely the best minister we could have gotten - he made us feel like we were the first couple he had married that day instead of the sixth... a very kind and gentle soul!  When he had finished blessing us, we were escorted to the wedding site by our witnesses...

Our absolutely favorite song was playing as we walked up to the Wedding Gazebo - Cannon D!!  We hadnt been told what would be playing and was happily surprised!!  We walked down to the gazebo together listening to the music and the ocean - arm and arm - surrounded by beauty and tranquility.

The vows our minister asked us to give to one another were lovely and very poignant - they fit us very well as a couple and were very moving to the both of us.  I think I will always remember the way Dana looked at me as he said his vows - the love and happiness in his eyes and smile showed so brightly and continue to shine that way everyday we are together!!

After the wedding, we had a sweet little reception where we got to have some wonderful cake, champagne, and hor d' orves with our witnesses - then it was off for 2 hours of pictures!!  Our photo session was sooo much fun - our photographer was a very creative lady and made us feel at ease!!  We had over 80+ pictures taken with her camera and several with Dana's - we had so many pictures to choose from that its taken us months to decide what pictures to have enlarged for our families.

Once the pictures were finished - we settled in for an evening of candle light, fabulous food, and love!!! :)
