B is a lucky LUCKY girl this Christmas! In addition to some really awesome toys, she is the proud new wearer of not 1 but 2 pretty dark pink hearing aids!
I have been fighting our ENT for a year now to get B in some kind of hearing aids because I didnt think she heard well at all. Every other thing I would say to her would get me a 'what? what did you say?!?'. So I took her to the pediatric audiologist at Blank where CeeCee took W for his evaluation. Imagine my non surprise when they said she needed hearing aids. DUH!!!!! She has mild to moderate hearing loss in both ears - left worse than right - probably due to ear infections before she came home to us.
So B got to pick out what ever color of ear molds and hearing aids she wanted. Being a princess, she picked PINK of course! Right now... she thinks they're pretty neat! Her little eyes light up when we turn them on and she starts to hear better. Whether or not she'll still like them in a couple of weeks after the newness wears off remains to be seen but for right now they're peachy keen!
Thank God I got that boy's room done because his LOA came Friday!!! Our LID was 09/28/2007... there was no way I was going to start wondering where our LOA was until late next month... I am beyond shocked that it came already!!!
What a great Christmas present!! We are all so excited!!
