I dont know what it is about Pittsburg, but its really a kewl place to be. I would be very naive if I thought that there was just sunshine and roses there in terms of neighborhoods but the places we stay are lovely.
Childrens Hospital in Pittsburg is right on the edge of the University of Pittsburg campus - everything we could need is in walking distance of the hotel we stayed at. Dana and I would have walked until we dropped checking it all out but we've were there with 'The Whiners' tm. The girls arent that fond of hiking like Ma and Pa are... I told them numerous times that they had to suck it up and poor them for being born into a family that liked to go on walkabouts!!
Here's the highlights:
1. B laughed hysterically on every take-off... she thought it was fabulous to be slammed back in her seat as the plane left the ground.
2. Each girl had to pee at least once on every plane... and right when they got off even if they just peed 5 minutes ago.
3. They are good little travellers... they like being in airports and watching the people :)
4. Shae was in yellow car heaven with the cab rides!
5. Our hotel was 4 blocks from just about everything we needed - hospital, shops, lovely historic neighborhoods, coffee, museum, Carnege HALL! We are sooo staying there again!
6. Nice folks... seriously!
7. Excellent eye report for Shae - of course thats what we went for... not the pretty flowers :)
8. Did I mention how good the girls were?
9. Do you know how hard it is to find a fruit cup in airports?
