Daddy is barely starting to get the hang of it!!!
For the last 3 morning daddy has tried his best to get at least SHQ the hair piggies that helps keep your hair under control through out the day. Sometimes the normal couple of clips just didn't do it, and thats all daddy had the confidences to do :)
He has gotten brave lately and got 2 piggies a day for SHQ and even 2 today for the BiXiu and they managed to stay in and look relatively decent at the end of the day!
I'm not ready to do anything more fancy than basic back of the head piggies but I might be able to work myself up to something. :)
SHQ you have come so much is so little time of a year. You have gotten well on your way on catching up to your peers on english and general english culture. You are such a smart girl, its just hard to show it when you have to apply to concepts that you have only been exposed to months rather than years.
Now you embarking on yet another new skill. In the footsteps of daddy, you are showing a good interest and determination to learning TKD yourself. You are very enthusiastic and willing to learn, I hope it continues, and you keep it up. Daddy is pulling some double header days of practice to help get you going, and will try his best to go with you at least once a week. After next week you will start your full first session and will begin your 3 steps, and official form, and basic movements for next test!
Daddy so proud of you!
B didnt get ear tubes yesterday - she got a bouncing baby strep throat and a fever instead. Dadee took her to the dr Tuesday and she tested positive for strep... the dr thought she would try to get B well enough by Wednesday for her surgery by giving her 2 shots of antibotics.
The shot in her right leg gave her a HUGE lump and bruise that we iced all day to try to make it better... its still huge today. She had a fever throughout the day Tuesday and into the night, but when she got up Wednesday - she didnt have a fever at home. So we went to the surgery center and waited... and waited... and waited.
When we went back to the patient area and they took her temp - her fever was back at 101.5. LOVELY!! That disqualifies you for your beautiful ear tube prize so we headed home and Mom thought she'd be able to go to work Thursday.
Mom was ever so wrong again!!
Shae came home hacking and sounding like a horse... nose running everywhere. So much for promising Mama's boss that Mama would make it to work! We all trudged off to the dr this morning - Shae has strep but guess who else has it too!!!! Thats right! Mama has strep too!!
To recap - all the girls in the house have strep and are on one kind of antibotic or another... Dadee has escaped the infections evil clutches so far but its only a matter of time because he just cant seem to stop kissing Mama!!
Ear tubes are rescheduled for 2 days before B's birthday - Happy Birthday to you!! And Kaitlyn too!! And Mya as well!!
Mega update on The Beesh!
1. She's getting ear tubes on March 14 in an attempt to improve her hearing. She's failed 3 hearing tests in the last year and Mama wants something done. The ENT says that her eardrums are shaped like hills instead of mountains so he wants to go in there and look around. It may be that she has fluid in her ears but he cant tell because he cant get a good reading from her mole hill ear drums. He said it could be scaring too but he wont know until he gets in there.
2. She moved to the morning Thursday/Friday preschool class and is doing really well. Its just so much easier to get her there in the mornings and she's no longer an extremely tired/cranky/unreasonable princess like she was when she went afternoons. Her new class has fewer, not so challenged kids in it so she's talking more and making friends :)
3. She's baby fixated at the moment... baby as in baby sister. NOOOOOOOOOO - we are NOT getting a baby sister but she's campaining for one. She went on for 2 days straight on what she could do for a baby sister... it was the most hilarous monologue ever!! Got Grandma completely freaked out that there might actually be a baby sister... I had to scrape Big G off the ceiling and calm her down. *snickers*
The girls had their first snow day today! Yippee!! Snow Day!! I stayed home with them while Dadee and Auntie Sis went off to work together.
It was a grand day at home... the girl cousins came over for the morning and all had a super time!! I even got a little bit of work done... for some reason, every time I move into the same room as they're playing - they run off to another room to play! So much for needing Mama :)
The girls started yoga class 2 weekends ago and were really looking forward to going this Saturday. Its just not going to happen this week... its far too nasty outside to be travelling around. We'll stay home and work on our mad jump roping skills!
Okay - back story on the jump roping. Shae came home from school and said proudly that she was a twirler for jump rope at school. She then proceeded to sing all of the jump rope songs she'd learned. I asked her if she jumped too and she looked at me like I was crazy! 'Oh no Mama!' I no jump... I twirl!'
Nope... wrong answer o' child of mine! It wouldnt matter if that child was completely BLIND... I would still expect her to learn to jump rope. Dont need eyes to jump... just listen for the slap of the rope! We've been working on learning to jump rope in the living room. She can jump a couple of times in a row when Dadee and I twirl, she can jump with me but hanging onto my waist, and she can get one revolution when jumping on her own. That last one we just started trying the other night. Shae will get it in her time and she'll be jumping with the rest of the girls in no time!
