Surprize! oowwwwch :)

Today is the day.. The older kids had an idea of what going to transpire today, but the others were just a little to young to really need to know and worry all day about it.

Daddy got off at a little afternoon, and came home to let the dogs out. He checked the mail, and took take of a little other business while he waited for CeeCee to snag the older ones out of school. She arrived, and the younger ones were shuffled out and loaded up in the big boat of the mini-van. Off we went to go the clinic. Thats where Dr Jon is don't you know. But we were going for a social call, we were going to give all the children an opportunity to get their FLU shots.

Dun dun DUN!!!

[Earlier in the day, CeeCee and mama had been positions #1 and #2 for their very own daffy duck band-aid, and a nifty flu shot to hid underneath it] Now it was the kids' turn. TQ was up first and dropped trough! Count down from 5 and he was done by 3. SHQ was next and did likewise. Troopers, knowing what was coming and standing (lying down) tall. Then came the wee girls. BX first volunteered herself, then when prompted, decided she would volunteer MC. There had been no tears, but a few worried looks as they had sorta witnessed the older ones get theirs. As soon as MC dropped trough it hit her was she was about to get, and the waterworks came. It was over before she knew it and BY was next. She needed a little more persuasion with a little weigh across her, but she was done before she knew it. Keeping count? 2 down, and whimmering and one to go, that was about to do the same. BX was last and she did great, though she wanted help put the bandaid on.

So we the little wee ones blubbering quietly, and then a collective sniff, and arm swipe as they all go briefly silent to get their share of STEECKERS :) They were done and ready to go, and started up with their smaller whimpers and straight leg gimps as they are now reminded of their adventure. Once we arrived in the main floor of the build and announced they could pick out a candy, and everyone gets their very own chewable tylenol, then they were all quiet and somewhat content again..

Then it was off back the way we came. The older ones could squeeze another hours worth of school in and the rest to attempt to get a nice nap..

And dadee was back to work for a bit, and...

Happy Birthday/Halloween!

We had Shae's birthday party on Saturday - she turns 6 yrs old on Oct 25 (tomorrow!) and her party was awesome!

Shae and Dadee made strawberry cupcakes Friday night - she stirred them up, put out the cupcake papers and spooned the batter in. When they were done, Mama had Shae sit on one side and B sit on the other of her and we had a frosting and sprinkle war! There was shrapnel everywhere! Those girls are dangerous with little candy beads! :D

Saturday we had the cousins over for pizza, cupcakes, and ice cream. Mama put 6 cupcakes on a big plate and put a candle in each one. Shae got them all but 2 blown out on the first blow! Presents were opened afterwards - paper was flying! Shae also got 2 balloons - 1 Hello Kitty and a Halloween themed one.

Sunday we all went to the Zoo to Trick or Treat. This was Shae's first Halloween and she loved it! We did character hats this year instead of costumes and I think thats the way to go from now on. Shae had a cow hat, B had a pimp hat, BaiYu had a puppy hat, Mya had a pink rabbit sitting on her head, and Talen had a dragon. It was COLD but very fun!

This week Shae is Star of the Week at school in honor of her birthday. Mama will bring treat bags for the kids in her class on Thursday when she goes to volunteer.

In Aubree BiXiu news... she is loving her new school and is working with Mama to learn how to write her name. Go B!!

Sunday Morning

A small voice calls out in the wee hours of the morning... a bigger voice answers.

Squeeky jumps on the pedals of the gate lead to creaking swinging.

Little feet slap slap across the floor.

Lid lifts, tingle falls, potty flushes

Little feet slap slap across the floor back.

Door bursts open... little bodies fly in.

Cuddle. Cuddle. Mama cries out as another little elbow digs itself into her poor abused and bruised chest.

White hair, brown hair, black hair, brown hair... always in that pattern.

Kitty meows at the end of the bed and is instantly smothered by hugs and smooches from little people.

Tooph! #2

In less than 3 days you have lost another tooth SHQ. My goodness. It was last weekend, while mama was out that morning. You were finished with your lunch and came in the kitchen to tell me that your tooth hurt. It was the one right beside the one first one you lost.

Daddee looked at it and deemed it quite loose, bleeding a little, and READY to be torn out of your head. You stayed in the kitchen while dadee went up stairs to get the trusty dental floss so we could lasso it.

It took dadee a bit longer than expected to tie a slip knot in the floss, lasso the tooth and pull it snug (it was quite wiggly, and would hurt every time daddy tugged). Dadee tried to get ready and wrap his hand around the excess floss while he hand you a bit of it to pull on. On sooner than he handed it to you, you quickly pulled, so dadee wasn't ready to *help tug*. So now the tooth hurts a bit more and is starting to bleed QUITE a bit more. The lasso had also slipped right off, about a minute later we were ready to try again, but you didn't want to pull this time. So dadee counted to 3, held your chin, and the floss, and with POP, it came out.

So with that you can honestly say all you want for Christmas Halloween is your two front (bottom) teeth!

Such a brave girl, and starting the road to riches, with another gold coin!

Mama & Dadee love you and your sister B very much!
