SHQ is baptized now! WooWoo! So glad that is over with :) It was very nice... F and J were god parents again! Man I wish they had told me they were going to wear jeans.... I debated ALL DAY whether or not I should wear jeans or not :D They had a BBQ to go to afterwards but it would have been a kicking all denium extravagaza!
Shae wore her princess dress and Mama fixed her hair sooooo pretty... she was a vision in pink silk! Fred did the baptism again and did a super job as always... he even gave us a copy of the readings for Shae's book :D
After the baptizm, Mama, Dadee, Talen, and SHQ all went to Delirum. SHQ LOVED IT ALL!!! She was beside herself with glee over all of the pretty lights, music, and dancing. Good time had by all!
B did what B likes to do best.... she got to do a sleepover with the girls while we were away. She didnt want to go home the next morning when I came over and got her :D
Its started out as a good plan to take a few days off to get the house in order, and relax a few days before we get SHQ baptist and some of the crew go to Cirque du Soliel (Delirium) for the night.
Once again Murphy has pounced on us like a little kitten and ball of yarn. So we were already squeezed tight with the baptism and then a quick jump to Soliel, we are now trying to at least make sure the baptism can still go on, and now one else gets ill. We have dear GM down for the count, then little MC started to bark at her shoes. We thought TQ might eventual be next, but everyone else seems to be holding together. Though we have 4 tickets ready for the show, we need enough adults to watch all the kids, down or otherwise, and people to go to the show to make it worth the price.
I managed to get a TKD demo in before I had heard that GM was ill, so I hot footed it home and took care of most of the girls yesterday while Mama took care of GM, then CeeCee and Daddee took all the girls and TQ to Quiznos, and thats when MC blew her lunch all over the van. Mama took care of GM again this morning while I took our girls and TQ to school, while BY had her tonsils ripped out of her head. She is back home resting comfortably, GM and MC are still down. Mama and SHQ are off getting TQ from school, while I wait for ABC to wake up. I did manage to squeeze in a took off trail hour look bike ride, only a couple of spills while practically standing still trying to pick a line.
I am so not a poet... but I just thought of this and I wanted to write it down before I forgot :)
BiXiu is a can of shook up Sprite. She is lovely, lively, and sparkles all over the place all at once.
SHQ is one of those little horseys on a platform... you know... the ones where when you push the base down, their little knees buckle, their heads droop, and their tails wiggle. The farther you push the plateform down, the farther they go down.... and if you're really talented, you can make them dance like the wind!!!
Today is Mama's Day - how great is that! We got to cuddle with the girls this morning and eat pastries until we were stuffed silly! We would have liked to have gone to the zoo today (Mamas get in free!) but it was too darn cold and Mya/BaiYu came for the afternoon :) Thats okay... we'll go another weekend!
I dont know about you, but this mama loves her children so much it hurts sometimes. This mama would (and has) sat in the evil INS office for 3 hours straight 2 DAYS IN A ROW just to make sure they didnt screw her baby girl over on the update to her certificate of citizenship. Yes... the bum was very sore, but I will NOT allow the US government to mess with my child!

Last week on Thursday, we all went to the courthouse. Yep - B, SHQ, Mama, and Dadee all marched our little selves down there before our 8:15am appearance. That was the day the birthday changed!
Yep - its official! Shae HongQi's birthday has officially been changed from 10/25/1998 to 10/25/2000. She is now physically and legally 5 years old! The girls got to wear their new pretty skorts/shirts and flirt with the lawyer and the judge. When the judge asked how old Shae was and I said 5 yrs old... B piped right up and said 'I'm three!' Good God our kids make me laugh!
We celebrated on Sunday SHQ's Half Happy Birthday in honor of the wonderful event! Shae got a new stuffed doggy, some big puzzles, a couple of outfits, pop-beads, and 2 dance outfits :)
Dance outfits? Yep - dance outfits! SHQ, B, Mya, and BaiYu are all going to take dance this summer in June. CeeCee said she could just see it - BaiYu would be standing on her head, SHQ would be doing her Lucille Ball impressions, Mya and B would be standing in the corner chatting and comparing their 'sparkles'! It should be quite good blog fodder *giggles*
Otherwise - things are good! Shae is learning her letters and numbers, starting to write them right side up, and broke my heart this week when she finally sang me a Chinese song! I've been waiting for 3 months for for that child to sing me a song! The one she started singing soooo awesome - its about Mama and Baba! She's got another regular Chinese song that she's starting to sing and one that she made up thats a mix of Chinese and English... also about Mama and Dadee and everyone else!
B is loving her new room at school and has her teachers wrapped around her finger... again. Sure doesnt take that kid long to assimulate the room and bend it to her will! The head teacher keeps telling me that she hopes the other kids dont corrupt her sweet little Aubree because she's an angel! Yes she is!
