sad for Shae

I have to work the next few weekends while Grandma recovers from surgery so I'm available to take care of the kids during week. Its boring, its quiet, and gives me time to think of Shae.

I wonder how she's doing... if she's getting enough to eat, if she's healthy, if she's cared about. I just want her to come home to us soon. I sent an email to the neighborhood school today to tell them she's coming and to get more information about their english as a second language and visual impairment programs. Hopefully they can send some information to keep me busy for a little while!

I love you Shae... stay safe!

the cousins are here!

Hooray! The cousins are here for their yearly summer stay! ET and SA come every year in the summer to stay with the grandmama and CeeCee - we get them for weekends and such :)

This year they're going to take swimming lessons while they're here - I told them if they they did good at the end of the two weeks, that I would jump off the high dive for them ;)

Well Baby!

Yes Aubree you are a well-baby, err toddler...

This was dadees first time taking you to Dr J all by himself. I think we did great. Mom remind dadee all the quizes and questions that Dr J would have for him, so we wouldn't get any talking-to(s) :)

As the Dr said, you had a pretty boring chart wise. Your right in the middle for the charts (75% percentile)--Which is actually Awesome! In otherwords keep growing like your growing.

We also both survived your shots as well. Got your shot in each leg, as well as an recommended but optional additional shot that mommy and dadee already have themselves.

In all, your are doing great, and you left with mucho Steeeeckers(Stickers) in hand to show momma.

4th of July Holiday

Aubree you have now lived through 2 celebrations of July 4th in your dadees hometown.

It was also dadees 15 year reunion.

We did our standard haunts of the community church, parade, lunch at the park, and pie!. Also squeezed in some pool time, and biking.

Its great to watch you each year get a bit more brave and exploring each year. You sat on dadees lap at the edge of the street watching the big trucks, floats, and horses go by. When the there was a brief pause between the cars and firetrucks I got you to get off dadees lap and shuffle over to a lonely piece of candy or two. Dadee made sure anything came near you, you either got yourself or he picked it up and put it on your bag. you got a very nice stash for a 2 year ago.

Each time the old old cars honked/blew their horns, or the big big trucks lumbered by you would practically climb right up dadees front and back down the other side. While tucking your widdle hams(hands) inbetween you and dadee.

It was also your grandmas C wedding. You looked so cute in your widdle mexican dress she got your when her and G was down in texas.

sent a box to Shae

If you were anywhere near the downtown Des Moines IA post office at
10ish this morning and saw a lady blubbering 'bye bye' to a big
box... that would have been me :D

I sent a box off to Shae (Gao Hong Qi) today... I hope it makes it!
It had 5 blankets from Love Without Boundaries courtesy of Kimber
Bakos, 5 or 6 outfits for whomever needs them, a photo album for
Shae, a dome magnifier so Shae can actually see the pictures in the
album, and notes from Kimber and our family. I hope Babblefish
translations from English to Chinese - Simplified are accurate... I
would hate to have offended someone! Not a bad price I thought to
send everything I did - $60 Global Express Air Mail.

I'd love to tell you guys when the box gets there... but its like
taking a dart, covering your eyes, and heaving it in Shae's general
direction :D
