What a good first Thanksgiving Aubree BiXiu had! Woke up extremely happy and went over to Grandma's to watch the BALLOONS!!! float through the parade on TV.
We all headed out the door at 10:20am to make it to Cracker Barrel for lunch - Dadee, Mama, B, Grandma, Auntie Sis, TQ, MC, and BJ. No waiting in line for us! We got seated right away and the eating did commense! Turkey, gravy, ham, stuffin, sweet potatos, cranberry sauce, and biscuits/cornbread muffins were on the menu. I think your favorite was the sweet potatos, but you ate really awesome. After lunch, we headed out to KMart to look about and then home again for a nap.... well, Mama took a nap - you were way to over stimulated to sleep :)
Mama is very sad that Aubree isnt going to be able to go to church with Mama and Dadee now until after Easter. We're taking a class at church to become full members and we've now got to go to 10am Mass. Auntie Sis and Grandma always go to 5pm Mass and dont want to change so we can all go together.
If they dont go, Aubree cant go because we've got to go off and 'discuss' the readings/gospel and would have no one to watch her. No way is Mama leaving her precious baby with the strangers at the church daycare! So Aubree will have to stay home with Grandma and Mama will have to feel guilty about leaving Aubree AND losing the time with her... not to mention B missing out on practicing to be a cantor!
This week we're trying something new and different - we're trying to learn to use silverware! Aubree BiXiu is doing a wonderful job! She can get the morsels on her utensil with just a little help, but its still a little hard trying to figure out how to get it in her mouth. She was doing so good tonight that I had to take the bowl away for a little bit. She likes to put the food in her mouth but she hasnt learned that you must chew/swallow whats in your mouth before you put more in! No worries though - she'll learn how it goes :)
Today was a busy day! We went to IHOP for the first time since the B came home, took Dadee's car to the shop, and got a proper little girl haircut today!
Mama had taken you to get your haircut when you first came home and Dadee had taken you for a few bang trims, but it was time to get a girl do!
We got you hair shaped into a sweet little bob :) You sat on Dadee's lap but you cried because the stylist sprits'd you with water. You got a grape sucker for your tears and cooperation :)
When we got home, your cousins were here! S and E came to see you before the snow starts to fall again. Good times were had by all and the hard playing will continue tomorrow until they have to go home. Hard to see them go, but its sooo good when they're here :)
